Development Strategy

Vietnam Women's Academy (VWA) has short-term, medium-term and long-term development goals and plans consistent with the requirements of economic development, business and integration over time. During the period 2021 - 2025, VWA has 8 major goals that need to be accomplished.
Goal 1: UNIVERSITY AND POST-GRADUATE TRAINING
Striving to achieve a training scale of 5,000 learners (converted) in 15 undergraduate majors, 5 master's majors and 1 doctoral training major. Strengthening the application of information technology, improving training quality, ensuring that graduated students achieve expected learning outcomes equal to reputable domestic training institutions and that the employment rate is above 80% after 1 year of graduation.
Goal 2: FOSTERING CADRES AND WOMEN
Achieving an average annual training scale of at least 2,500 trainees with 20 different training programs organized annually for Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) officials, female officials and female workers, contributing to promoting gender equality, and successfully implementing VWU’s Officials Training Project approved by the Prime Minister during the period 2018-2025.
Goal 3: SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ACTIVITIES
Becoming a leading scientific research facility in the country on the issues of women and gender equality, with the total number of scientific tasks increasing 3 times compared to the period 2016-2020, reaching the annual average of 150 scientific works published. Within 5 years, at least 20% of the lecturers/researchers have international publications meeting standards.
Goal 4: INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
Develop cooperative relationships with at least 50 universities, scientific research institutions and international organizations, contributing to the implementation of at least 1 international joint training program and 2 exchange programs for student, teachers and lecturers, and 100% of the training programs at VWA have international experts participating in teaching and academic discussions each year.
Goal 5: FINANCE & FACILITIES
Achieving all national standard for facilities and equipments for higher education institutions, achieving complete autonomy in regular expenditures for university and postgraduate training; striving for total revenue to increase by at least 15%, average employee income to increase by at least 10% compared to the previous year, and capital construction investment to be partially accumulated.
Goal 6: LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT
Building a team of lecturers, researchers, officials, and workers to meet the requirements of effective quantity, quality, and operating model that meets the standards for national educational institutions, in which the ratio of personnel doing professional work (teaching, research) is at least 70%, at least 25% of lecturers have doctoral degrees, 20% of PhDs are recognized as Associate Professor, Professor, and at least 30% of lecturers and researchers have English proficiency to meet the requirements of teaching in a foreign language and of writing internationally-published scientific reports.
Goal 7: QUALITY & INTERNAL PROCEDURE ASSURANCES
Synchronously operating the internal quality assurance system and internal processes that meet ISO standards according to the orientation of digital transformation in all areas of VWA’s activities; ensuring higher results in the 2nd educational institution quality accreditation and 6/15 training programs have the quality being successfully accredited according to the regulations of Vietnam and international organizations.
Goal 8: COMMUNITY & ENVIRONMENT
Strengthening activities of engagement, serving the community, and protecting the environment; contributing to fully and promptly meeting the development requirements and goals of the communities, organizations and businesses with cooperative relationships, meanwhile affirming the organizational capacity and responsibility of VWA for sustainable development and gender equality
