Attending the seminar on the guest side were speakers: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thu Huong TRAN – Head of the Clinical Psychology Department, Psychology Faculty, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; M.A. Huyen Nhung TRAN – Director of Tam Nhung Social Enterprise. On the side of Vietnam Women’s Academy (VWA), there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thi Thanh Huyen DOAN – Head of Social Work Faculty and nearly 150 delegates who are staff, lecturers, researchers, and students majoring in Social Work and Psychology of VWA. In addition, there were another 50 delegates of VWA’s HCMC Campus attending online.

At the first session with the topic “Preventing burnout at work”, speaker Thu Huong TRAN shared knowledge related to preventing burnout at work including concepts, symptoms, signs and ways to recognize early stress, burnout at work and solutions to deal with the problem of burnout at work. The next session with the content of “Love yourself – compassion and self-compassion” includes common problems in studying and affecting studying, as well as some plausible methods to self-care, self-love and love others.

During the seminar, the participants also exchanged and discussed enthusiastically with many opinions given to clarify the signs of recognizing stress and tension at work, measures to improve mental health.

The discussions at the seminar not only provided a comprehensive view of mental health issues but also helped workers, students, and many others know how to prevent burnout at work and during study, know how to love themselves and others properly, contributing to improving mental health – an issue of great concern these days.
