The workshop was organized to create a forum for publishing and discussing typical research results, and at the same time promoting the application of technology in training, management and community development. With the motto of linking theory with practice, the contents presented at the workshop focused on practical application, contributing to improving the quality of research and education at Vietnam Women’s Academy (VWA).

Outstanding presentations of the workshop:

3D virtual-reality (VR) application in showroom digitization

The report series begins with a presentation by Dr. NGUYEN Duc Toan – Vice Rector in charge of Information Technology Institute. Dr. Toan introduced the application of 3D virtual reality technology in digitizing the exhibition room at VWA. This technology not only helps preserve documents and artifacts vividly but also opens up opportunities to access digital cultural heritage for many viewers.

Digital illustration in multimedia design

MA. KIEN Thi Hue – Lecturer of Multimedia Communication Faculty shared a presentation on the application of the theoretical basis of digital illustration in multimedia design. The content focused on how to apply modern design theories to create creative media products, meeting the increasing demands of the labor market in the field of digital communications.

Improving litigation regulations for people under 18 years old

Dr. TRINH Thi Yen – Head of Administrative & Criminal Law Subject, Law Faculty, presented a study on the improvement of the Vietnamese Criminal Procedure Law related to procedural matters for persons under 18 years of age. This is a study of profound social significance, not only contributing to protecting the rights of minors but also helping lecturers of the Law Faculty improve the quality of teaching through practical situations.

Support for returning victims of human trafficking

The research of Dr. NGUYEN Thi Thu Huong – Deputy Dean of Social Work Faculty, emphasizes the role of social work in supporting victims of human trafficking. The research results have been effectively applied in the teaching process, helping students master practical skills and gain a deeper understanding of social work.

Memorial tourism* at Hoa Lo Prison relic

Dr. PHAM Thi Hanh – Lecturer of Business Administration Faculty shared a unique study on memorial tourism, focusing on the case of Hoa Lo Prison Historical Site, Hanoi. The study has been published internationally and successfully applied in the teaching of subjects related to tourism and hospitality management.

In addition, Gender & Development Faculty, as well as other specialized units, would also present typical research, creating a diverse picture of science and technology applications at VWA.

The Q&A session was an opportunity for delegates and attendees to exchange ideas, propose solutions and share practical experiences. After the presentation, delegates visited the poster and application product display area. Here, representatives of research groups introduced in depth the visual illustration products, from graphic designs, digital lectures to outstanding scientific research works.

The 2024 Workshop on Application of Science and Technology is not only a place to announce research results but also opens up opportunities to promote cooperation between researchers, lecturers and application units. The event contributes to affirming the role of VWA in connecting research and practice, promoting innovation and improving the quality of education.

With careful preparation and resourceful content, the workshop promises to bring many practical values, contributing to promoting and improving the quality of research, teaching and training at Vietnam Women’s Academy.
