The delegation was headed by Comrade TON Ngoc Hanh, Alternate Member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Vice President of Vietnam Women’s Union, and President of the Board of Trustees of Vietnam Women’s Academy. The delegation also included Assoc. Prof. Dr. DUONG Kim Anh – Vice President of the Academy, Dr. HOANG Huong Thuy – Head of International Cooperation& Research Management Department, and other colleagues. This is an important activity to promote the cooperative relationship between the two countries and support the Vietnamese women community living, studying and working in Japan.

The delegation received a warm welcome from the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan. Ambassador PHAM Quang Hieu, along with the Embassy’s community, education and political officers, expressed their joy at welcoming the delegation. This was an opportunity for the two sides to discuss cooperation issues between Vietnam and Japan, especially in the fields of education, society and community support.
At the meeting, Ambassador PHAM Quang Hieu shared about the close relationship between Vietnam and Japan, emphasizing the remarkable achievements in bilateral cooperation, as well as the opportunities and challenges for the Vietnamese community in Japan. In particular, the Ambassador mentioned the situation of Vietnamese women in Japan, emphasizing their contributions to the development of the Vietnamese community here and the development of Japan in general.
In response, Comrade TON Ngoc Hanh expressed his deep gratitude to Ambassador PHAM Quang Hieu and the Embassy staff for their special support and care for the Vietnamese community, especially Vietnamese women in Japan. She also emphasized that Vietnam Women’s Union is always ready to accompany the Vietnamese women’s community abroad, not only spiritually but also in connecting, supporting the protection of rights and creating conditions for development.
Comrade TON Ngoc Hanh affirmed that the Vietnam Women’s Union will continue to closely coordinate with the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan in activities to enhance the position and protect the rights of Vietnamese women here. At the same time, the Union also committed to strengthening support programs and creating conditions to maximize the potential of Vietnamese women in Japan.
After the working session with the Embassy, the delegation had a meeting with a number of Vietnamese women and female entrepreneurs living and working in Japan. This meeting is not only an opportunity to listen to the sharing about life and work of women in Japan, but also an opportunity for the delegation to grasp the difficulties and challenges that Vietnamese women are facing abroad.
Many women shared their difficulties in balancing work and family life, cultural and language challenges, as well as concerns about rights and legal protection in the workplace. Comrade TON Ngoc Hanh expressed deep sympathy for the difficulties of the women and affirmed that Vietnam Women’s Union will do its utmost to support and protect the rights of Vietnamese women in Japan.

The visiting and working sessions of the Vietnam Women’s Academy delegation in Japan was a great success, affirming the friendship and close cooperation between the two countries. At the same time, the visit also demonstrated the strong commitment of the Vietnam Women’s Union in protecting and enhancing the position of Vietnamese women abroad. This was not only a diplomatic trip, but also an important step in connecting and supporting the Vietnamese community in Japan, especially Vietnamese women, helping them to stand firm and develop in the international environment.
