In an era marked by rapid scientific advancement and digital transformation, the credibility of an academic journal is measured not only by its publication history, but also by the quality of its scholarship, the strength of its academic community, and its ability to integrate into the global knowledge ecosystem. Guided by this understanding, the Vietnam Women’s Academy Journal of Science has, over many years, steadily established itself as a rigorous academic forum dedicated to research on women, gender, and social development, while progressively expanding its international academic presence.

From its inception, the Journal has been supported by a distinguished Editorial Board and Scientific Council comprising professors, associate professors, and doctoral scholars from leading universities, academies, and research institutes in Viet Nam and abroad. These experts represent a wide range of disciplines, including social work, sociology, law, psychology, management, communication, gender studies, and interdisciplinary social sciences. Their engagement has ensured high academic standards and contributed to shaping the Journal’s long-term, sustainable development orientation.

The Journal positions itself as an open scholarly platform, welcoming contributions from researchers both within and beyond the Vietnam Women’s Academy. Its published articles address contemporary social issues, with particular emphasis on women, gender equality, social security, public policy, education, psychology, law, governance, and digital transformation. Through this focus, the Journal aims to bridge academic research and development practice.

A standardized and transparent editorial and peer-review process underpins the Journal’s academic credibility. All manuscripts undergo multiple rounds of independent peer review by subject-matter experts, ensuring objectivity, rigor, and scholarly integrity. In parallel, the Journal has continuously improved its formatting, citation practices, and reference standards to align more closely with international publishing conventions.

A major milestone in the Journal’s international integration was achieved in December 2025, when it was officially granted a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) by Crossref, with the DOI prefix: https://doi.org/10.65607/tckh2025. DOI registration represents a critical step in modern scholarly publishing, ensuring the permanent identification, accessibility, and traceability of academic articles. Beyond stable access, DOI-enabled publications can be systematically linked and tracked through citation databases, allowing for more accurate assessment of scholarly impact.

From Volume 32, Issue 4 (2025) onward, all articles published in the Journal are assigned an international DOI, prominently displayed on the first page of each article. This development enhances the visibility, citability, and academic value of published research, while positioning the Journal more firmly within international scholarly networks.

The growth of the Vietnam Women’s Academy Journal of Science is closely aligned with the Academy’s broader strategy to enhance research quality, academic reputation, and international engagement. As a key knowledge dissemination channel, the Journal not only reflects the research capacity of the Academy’s academic staff, but also promotes a distinctive scholarly identity centered on women, gender equality, and sustainable development.

With a solid academic foundation, a reputable scholarly community, and a clear vision for internationalization, the Vietnam Women’s Academy Journal of Science continues to advance its role in connecting Vietnamese scholarship with regional and global academic communities in the digital knowledge era.
