On 23 February 2026 (the 7th day of the Lunar New Year), Vietnam Women’s Academy solemnly held its annual Early Spring Gathering to mark the beginning of the Year of the Horse, so-called Bính Ngọ 2026. The event took place in a vibrant and collegial atmosphere, featuring uplifting musical performances by staff members, lecturers, and youth union representatives. The artistic program not only celebrated the spirit of spring but also conveyed messages of hope, confidence, and positive energy for the year ahead.

The gathering brought together the Board of Directors, leaders of affiliated units, and the entire body of staff, lecturers, and employees. As a longstanding annual tradition, this event serves as an important institutional milestone – providing an opportunity to reflect on achievements of the previous year while affirming strategic orientations and collective determination for the new academic and operational cycle.

In his keynote address, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Tien, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Academy, extended New Year greetings and expressed his appreciation for the commitment and contributions of the Academy’s personnel. He emphasized that the beginning of the year represents a moment of renewal – an occasion to strengthen solidarity, reinforce shared values, and reaffirm institutional aspirations.

Reviewing the past year, the Director acknowledged the Academy’s sustained efforts amid ongoing challenges in the higher education landscape. Significant progress was recorded across core domains, including academic training, scientific research and technological development, international cooperation, digital transformation, and staff welfare enhancement. These accomplishments have contributed to consolidating the Academy’s academic reputation and institutional standing within the national higher education system.

Looking forward, the Director underscored the necessity of fostering a spirit of innovation, accountability, and practical effectiveness. In the context of profound transformation in higher education, he called upon all staff and lecturers to further enhance professional competencies, advance pedagogical and managerial innovation, strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, and cultivate a professional, inclusive, and humane working environment. The institutional values of “unity, dedication, creativity, and quality” should be translated into concrete and measurable actions from the outset of the year.

A highlight of the program was the traditional presentation of New Year lucky envelopes to all staff and employees by the Academy’s leadership and Trade Union representatives. Beyond symbolizing good fortune, this gesture reflected institutional appreciation for the collective’s sustained dedication.

The ceremony concluded with a New Year toast, reinforcing a shared commitment to health, prosperity, and success. The moment symbolized not merely a ceremonial observance, but a reaffirmation of collective solidarity and common purpose.

As the Year of Bính Ngọ begins, Vietnam Women’s Academy moves forward with confidence, strategic clarity, and a strong commitment to innovation and breakthrough development. Building upon a solid foundation of unity and institutional resilience, the Academy is well positioned to pursue new milestones and further strengthen its contributions to higher education and social advancement.
