On December 28, 2024, Economics & Finance Faculty of Vietnam Women’s Academy (VWA) warmly welcomed Dr. Patricia Louise BUCKLEY, an international volunteer from Australia. Dr. Buckley will be working with the Faculty from December 23, 2024, to February 28, 2025.

The meeting of welcome was attended by Dr. LE Van Son, Deputy Dean of Economics & Finance Faculty, Dr. HOANG Huong Thuy, Head of International Cooperation & Research Management Department, along with many other faculty members.

Dr. Patricia Louise BUCKLEY is an expert with extensive experience in applied economics and international research. With this collaboration, Economics & Finance Faculty hopes to bring new opportunities in teaching, research, and skill development for students. During her time at VWA, Dr. Patricia will work with the Faculty to organize seminars and workshops to share knowledge about applied economics with students. In addition, she will coordinate with lecturers to implement scientific research projects, support the development of new approaches in teaching and research, thereby contributing to improving the academic quality of the Faculty.

Dr. Patricia planning to work at Economics & Finance Faculty as a Volunteer from December 23, 2024 to the end of February 2025.

During the meeting, Dr. LE Van Son expressed his honor in welcoming Dr. Buckley and expressed confidence that her presence will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of training and research at the Faculty. Dr. HOANG Huong Thuy also shared that this collaboration is an important step in the Faculty’s strategy to internationalize and expand global cooperation opportunities.

Economics & Finance Faculty believes that the collaboration with Dr. Patricia Louise BUCKLEY over the next two months will bring valuable contributions and open up opportunities for learning and development for both faculty lecturers and students.
