In particular, the presence of representatives of the German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation (DSIK) – Ms. Anna SZALWICKY, Deputy Regional Coordinator for Southeast Asia and Ms. NGUYEN Anh Hong, Project Expert – demonstrated international interest in the environmental protection and green living campaign. In addition, the ceremony also welcomed the presence of Miss DANG Thi Ngoc Han, Miss Vietnam 2010, who has enthusiastically supported and accompanied Vietnam Women’s Academy (VWA) in many volunteer and community activities.
On the side of VWA, the event was honored to welcome Assoc.Prof. Dr. TRAN Quang Tien, President of the Academy, Dr. Truong Thu Tra, Director of Officials Training Centre, along with many representatives of departments and Youth Union, trainees who are officers of the Lao Women’s Union and students of VWA. Press and media units also attended to spread the meaningful images of this activity.

Speaking at the opening of the event, Assoc.Prof. Dr. TRAN Quang Tien emphasized: Today’s Bicycle Parade is not only a sport activity to improve health but also a call for everyone to practice a frugal lifestyle and protect the environment. Each of our small actions today will contribute to a greener and more sustainable future for the community. The speech of Assoc.Prof. Dr. TRAN Quang Tien motivated and inspired all attendees, encouraging everyone to actively spread the event’s message.
Next, as a representative of intellectual beauty and compassion, Miss Ngoc Han emphasized that environmental protection is not only the responsibility of each individual, but an indispensable part in the process of building a sustainable society. She mentioned: I am very happy and honored to accompany you in this meaningful event today. We can start with small, simple actions such as using environmentally friendly means of transport, practicing an economical lifestyle and reducing waste. When we spread the spirit of green living and responsible living together, we not only contribute to protecting the planet but also create a sustainable future for ourselves and future generations. Students with their dynamism, creativity and enthusiasm will play an important role in this green journey.
Miss Ngoc Han’s speech not only strongly inspired the students but also demonstrated her personal commitment to volunteer activities and environmental protection, creating a special attraction and enthusiasm for the entire program.
Immediately afterwards, the bicycle parade officially departed from VWA at 68 Nguyen Chi Thanh Str. The convoy passed through major roads such as Lieu Giai, Van Cao, Trich Sai and along the West Lake, creating a vivid picture of the vitality and spirit of the “Green Savings” campaign.
This journey not only attracted the attention of people along the streets but also spread the message of green living strongly. Students and guests with eye-catching costumes and banners, cycled step by step on the city’s main roads, conveying meaningful slogans about saving and protecting the environment. The parade created a green flow of hope, attracting the attention of the community, encouraging everyone to act together for a green, clean and beautiful living environment.
The delegates and students pledged to continue to practice a frugal lifestyle and protect the environment not only during the parade but also in daily activities. In particular, VWA pledged to maintain environmental protection awareness education programs, continuously spreading the spirit of “Green Savings” among students and the community. The youth of students is a powerful resource to create change.
