The meeting was attended by the Board of Management, as well as cadres, employees and especially many retired generations of Vietnam Women’s Academy (VWA).

Assoc.Prof. Dr. TRAN Quang Tien, Party Secretary and President of the Academy, sincerely thanked the retired cadres for their advice and support to VWA in the past time, and wished the retired cadres and their families a new year of good health, happiness, peace and prosperity. On this occasion, on behalf of the Academy, Assoc.Prof. Dr. TRAN Quang Tien reported to the retired cadres on the operation situation and outstanding results in 2024 as well as key tasks in 2025.

The year 2024 concluded with impressive achievements, affirming its important role in the national education system and making positive contributions to society. Below are the outstanding achievements, demonstrated through specific numbers and activities:

Outstanding achievements in 2024

  1. Strengthening diplomacy and building cooperative relationships:
    • In November 2024, the Academy was honored to welcome Prime Minister PHAM Minh Chinh and leaders of ministries and branches to visit and work. This is an important event, marking a major step forward in strengthening the position and strategic cooperation relationship. 
  2. Digital Transformation – The Foundation of Modernization:
    • Completed and operated the digital transformation system, including training management, testing, scientific research and electronic library. During the year, this system served 13,639 document borrowing and returning times and 16,934 visits. This demonstrates the strong transformation of VWA in the digital age.
  3. Enrollment and training exceeding targets:
    • The Academy has successfully enrolled 2,077 undergraduate and 48 master’s students, far exceeding previous years. Of these, 6,778 students and trainees have participated in 1,025 courses, including 75 basic English classes and internship programs at enterprises.
    • The Academy has also awarded graduation certificates to 474 undergraduate and 48 master’s students, affirming the stable and effective training quality.
  4. Scientific research – International integration:
    • The Academy has conducted 87 scientific research projects, organized 15 international and national conferences, and published 387 scientific products. The Academy’s Journal of Science continues to improve its rating and expand its influence in the fields of philosophy, sociology, and economics.
    • In particular, the Academy has signed 7 international cooperation agreements, creating conditions for 16 students to study abroad in Korea, Taiwan and other countries. These are strong steps in the strategy of internationalizing education.
  5. Serving the community with social responsibility:
    • Organized 26 legal consultation sessions, supported 1,200 female prisoners and 1,030 students through life skills seminars. At the same time, charity fundraising and financial support activities awarded 12 million VND to 14 disadvantaged students.
    • The Academy also actively participates in training and community education activities, contributing to improving people’s knowledge and skills.

2025: Acceleration and Sustainable Development

Entering 2025, Vietnam Women’s Academy sets a goal of comprehensive development with the following focuses:

  1. Perfecting the organization and strategy:
    • Strengthen the Academy’s Board of Trustees and reorganize the apparatus according to Resolution No. 18. At the same time, develop a strategic plan for the period 2026-2030 towards sustainability.
    • Complete self-assessment and external assessment of 4 new university training programs, including economics, psychology, economic law and information technology.
  2. Improving the quality of research and teaching:
    • Open a master’s program in economics and set a target of 50% of lecturers achieving international publication targets (0.3 articles/person/year).
    • Continue to improve training methods, apply technology to teaching and improve practical skills for students
  3. Develop cooperation and community service activities:
    • Organized a Job Fair with more than 30 participating businesses, providing 2,265 job opportunities for students. Career counseling and soft skills activities were also promoted.
    • Implemented training programs, legal counseling and community support in many localities, affirming the Academy’s role and responsibility in raising social awareness.
  4. Infrastructure investment and digital transformation:
    • Complete phase 1 of the expansion project in Gia Lam, ensuring progress and technical and aesthetic quality. The Academy also aims to develop information technology infrastructure to better serve teaching and research activities.

On behalf of the retired cadres, Ms. TRAN Thi Tam – Former Vice President of the Central Women Cadre Training School and Ms. PHAN Thi Thanh Tram – Former Head of Research Department, Central Women Cadre Training School expressed their excitement when attending the meeting. She said she was extremely moved and proud to witness the successes, the impressive leaps and bounds that VWA has achieved in recent years and especially in 2024 and believes that with the youth of the current generation, the Academy will develop more and more. With their experiences, the retired generations of VWA are always ready to share, encourage and motivate the Academy to continue to develop sustainably.
