The program was attended by the Board of Management and all officials and employees of Vietnam Women’s Academy (VWA).
The opening performance by VWA’s Youth Union brought a joyful and exciting atmosphere. The special performances were like a warm welcome to the delegates and all officials attending the conference.
Following the program, the conference unanimously elected the Presidium and the Secretary to run the program.
The focus of the conference was the 2024 summary report, presented by Ms. HA Thi Thanh Van – Vice President of the Academy, through a clip illustrating the activities. The year 2024 marked many great strides for the Academy in all areas: training, scientific research, international cooperation and community service.
⭐Training activities: Innovation, expansion and efficiency
Vietnam Women’s Academy continues to affirm its position in the field of education with outstanding achievements:
The Academy’s enrollment has met the target, as well as has opened another two new majors: Digital Economics (undergraduate program) and Clinical Psychology (master program). This is an important addition to meet the demand for high-quality human resources of society.
Input quality has improved compared to 2023, affirming the prestige of the Academy in the Vietnamese higher education system.
⭐ Digital Transformation: The Driving Force for Sustainable Development
VWA has basically completed the digital transformation system, creating a solid foundation for management, teaching and learning. Examination & quality control activities and online learning system operations have all achieved high efficiency.
⭐ Scientific research: Affirming prestige
During the past year, VWA carried out 87 projects at all levels and organized 15 national and international conferences. In particular, the Academy’s Journal of Science was upgraded in rating, becoming a prestigious academic channel not only domestically but also internationally. The total number of published scientific products has reached 387, exceeding the set target.
⭐ International Cooperation: Expanding Relations and Opportunities
In 2024, VWA successfully signed 7 cooperation agreements with international universities and organizations, including partners from Germany, Russia and Japan. Notably, 16 students of the Academy received scholarships and participated in study abroad programs, contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education.
⭐ Community Service: Responsibility and Humanity
VWA organized many practical activities such as legal advice, female prisoner support, and gifts giving to disadvantaged students. In particular, the program to support the recovery of the consequences of Typhoon Yagi with a total budget of 281.7 million VND clearly demonstrated the Academy’s social responsibility.
⭐ Direction of 2025: New steps in development strategy
The conference unanimously approved 9 key tasks for 2025, focusing on key areas such as:
- Consolidate VWA’s Board of Trustees and build a development strategy for the period 2026–2030.
- Improve training quality with self-assessment and external assessment of 4 training programs: Information Technology, Economics, Psychology and Economic Law.
- Develop scientific research, set a target of 50% of full-time lecturers achieving international publications with a rate of 0.3 articles/person.
- Expand international cooperation, effectively exploit resources from foreign partners.
The discussion session led by the Presidium recorded many contributions from officials and employees. The content focused on solutions to improve training quality, strengthen international cooperation and improve facilities. At the same time, the Board of Management also emphasized the importance of consensus, creativity and responsibility in implementing the tasks of 2025.
Also at the conference, the efforts after a year with many achievements of outstanding collectives and individuals of VWA were recognized and honored in the excitement of the whole VWA personnel.
The conference also elected 5 comrades to join the People’s Inspection Committee for the 2nd term of 2025 and 2026 to inspect the implementation of decisions of the whole personnel; supervise the implementation of the Party’s guidelines and policies, the State’s policies and laws, the implementation of laws on democracy at the grassroots level in agencies and units…
An important highlight of the conference was the signing ceremony of the emulation pact between the President of VWA, comrade TRAN Quang Tien, and the President of the Labor Union, comrade NGUYEN Thi Phuong, demonstrating a strong commitment to implementing the 2025 goals.
The conference ended with the adoption of a resolution, affirming the high consensus of all staff and employees. The proud achievements of 2024 and clear orientation for 2025 have created a mindset ready for VWA to enter a new stage of development.
The 2024 Conference of Officials and Employees is not only an opportunity to summarize outstanding achievements, but also affirms the determination of Vietnam Women’s Academy in maintaining sustainable development in the fields of training, research and community service. With the spirit of solidarity, creativity and responsibility, all officials, employees and employees of the Academy will continue to overcome all challenges to achieve greater achievements in 2025 and the following years.
