Right from the beginning of March, after the launch, the Badminton qualifying round took place enthusiastically, attracting a large number of students to participate. The men’s singles; women’s singles; men’s doubles; women’s doubles all attracted the participation of many potential athletes. The matches will take place in a knockout format according to each pair that has been divided in advance by drawing lots. The competing teams have tried their best to win tickets to the exciting final round taking place on March 22.

This year’s sports festival includes three main competitions: badminton, tug of war and relay – obstacle course. Each event brings interesting experiences, as well as challenges the team spirit and bravery of the players.

Badminton: Exciting Matches

Starting from early morning, the A3 stadium was bustling with cheers from fans. The men’s and women’s singles badminton matches took place with technical and powerful shots. The men’s singles final was a fierce confrontation between the two best players from the Tourism and Hospitality Management and the Digital Economics majors. The powerful smashes and spectacular saves made the audience unable to take their eyes off. In the end, the victory belonged to KHUAT Khanh Duy – a student of Tourism and Hospitality Management.

In the women’s singles event, the match between the two representatives of the Social Work and Psychology majors was equally exciting. With an intelligent playing style, NGO Yen Nhi – a student of the Social Work major won convincingly.

Tug of War: A Competition of Strength and Teamwork

Right after the badminton event, the main courtyard of the Academy became bustling with the tug of war event. Cheers and encouragement echoed throughout the court, giving strength to the competing teams. Members of each team coordinated well together, tightening their grip on the rope with great determination. Sweat rolled down their foreheads, their feet gripped the ground, each pull made the audience nervous. After many tense rounds, the team from the Law Faculty won thanks to their reasonable tactics and good coordination among the members, with the first prize going to the Economic Law department and the second prize going to the Law department.

Smashing the clay pot: Laughter echoing throughout the schoolyard

The game relay – obstacle course is a challenging but equally interesting content. Players must complete many challenges in turn: Sack jumping – Passing rubber bands with heads – Giving away balls wearing the Youth Union shirt – Smashing clay pots.

Each round has one player participating. The player will pass the stick through each round to the last player. Any team that fails to pass any round, or drops the stick on the ground during the passing process, the next player must start over. The team that passes all the rounds in the shortest time will win, requiring agility, dexterity and team spirit. This is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their comprehensive mobility and collective strength. The sports atmosphere is full of heat with cheers and encouragement, especially in the clay pot smashing round. There are missed smashes that make the audience laugh, but there are also accurate swings that bring resounding victories.
