Contributions of scientific research to society

The ministerial-level research topics of VWA have made important contributions in many aspects:

  • Theoretical contributions: Many works have supplemented and enriched theories on Gender, Development, Social Work and Business Administration in the new context. This helps improve the quality of training and fostering of cadres, and at the same time creates a foundation for further research. In particular, studies on gender mainstreaming theory have become important reference materials for training programs at the Academy and other educational institutions.
  • Practical contributions: Research results are applied in practice through the development of pilot models, proposing specific policy solutions and recommendations to address urgent social issues such as domestic violence, gender equality in the political field, and improving the capacity to apply information technology in state management. Many pilot models have been successfully deployed and replicated in localities, contributing to improving the lives of women and children.
  • Contributing to policy adjustment proposals: Many topics have provided a solid scientific basis for proposing the development and adjustment of policies related to women and gender equality, such as studies on enhancing women’s leadership roles or solutions to promote gender equality in education and labor. Through policy recommendations, the Academy has made important contributions to the improvement of the legal system and social policies in Vietnam.
  • Strengthening research capacity and international cooperation: Scientific research activities at the ministerial level also help strengthen the research capacity of the Academy’s lecturers and researchers. Through cooperation topics with international organizations such as GIZ, the Ministry of Science and Technology, VWA has expanded its cooperation network, academic exchanges and shared research experiences with domestic and foreign partners.
