The workshop was attended by Dr. TRAN Lan Phuong – Vice President of Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU), the Board of Management of Vietnam Women’s Academy (VWA), former leaders of the Vietnam Women’s Union, former leaders of the Central Women Cadre Training School (previous name of VWA), and all officials, employees and students of the Academy.
In her opening speech, Dr. TRAN Lan Phuong emphasized the significance of the 65-year milestone in the development journey of VWA. From a training facility for cadres of VWU, the Academy has constantly innovated and expanded its scale, becoming a center for training high-quality human resources, serving the work of gender equality and women’s development. The Vice President affirmed that the Academy has made an important contribution to improving the professional qualifications and leadership skills of the Union’s cadres and female leaders at all levels, helping them to be more confident and competent in their work and life.
The workshop was divided into two main discussion sessions. The first session focused on summarizing the historical milestones of the Academy over the past 65 years. The presentations of the speakers highlighted the achievements in training the Union’s cadres, scientific research and highly practical teaching programs. In particular, the speech of Ms. TRAN Thi Tam – former Vice President of the Central Women Cadre Training School – emphasized the pioneering role of the Academy in training and developing female leadership capacity in Vietnam. In addition, Ms. HA Thi Thanh Van – Vice President of VWA – gave a comprehensive presentation on the development orientations of the Academy in the coming time. She emphasized that the Academy needs to continue to innovate its training programs, integrate technological elements and modern teaching methods to improve the quality of learning. At the same time, VWA will promote cooperation with domestic and foreign organizations to expand learning, research and practice opportunities for students, helping them access the most advanced knowledge and skills. At the same time, other presentations also analyzed in depth the changes in the training model of the Union’s cadres over the periods, thereby drawing important lessons for the next stage.
The second discussion session focused on the strategic orientations of VWA in the context of integration and digital transformation. The speakers presented the challenges, opportunities and solutions for the Academy to continue accompanying the Union’s cadres in the New Era.
In particular, Ms. NGUYEN Thi Thanh Hoa – Former President of VWU shared the importance of promoting the resources and potential of the Union’s cadres in enhancing women’s empowerment, especially in the context of increasingly deep international integration. According to her, the training of Union cadres needs to be closely linked to practice, aiming at sustainable solutions to promote gender equality and community development.
Another noteworthy content at the conference was the presentation by Prof.Dr. LE Ngoc Hung. Prof.Dr. LE Ngoc Hung emphasized the importance of developing higher education in the era of the 4.0 industrial revolution, especially the application of technology in teaching and scientific research.
In addition, the presentation by Mr. LE Nguyen Truong Giang – Director of the Institute of Digital Transformation Strategy also made important recommendations on the application of digital technology in training and educational management. According to him, digital transformation not only helps improve the quality of teaching but also creates conditions for students to access knowledge more flexibly and effectively.
The presentations at this session also emphasized the development of specialized training programs on leadership skills and innovation to meet the sustainable development requirements of society and the Union.
The workshop ended with an open discussion among the delegates, giving practical suggestions to improve the quality of training and fostering of future Union officials. Assoc.Prof. Dr. DUONG Kim Anh – Vice President of VWA – expressed her appreciation for the valuable contributions from the delegates. The Vice President affirmed that the Academy will continue to make efforts to innovate and develop training programs, accompanying the Union’s cadres in improving their professional qualifications and leadership skills, meeting the development requirements in the new period.
The workshop “Promoting the 65-year tradition – Vietnam Women’s Academy accompanies Vietnam Women’s Academy Union officials entering the new era” was a great success, marking a new step forward in the development journey of the Academy. The event not only affirmed the important role of the Academy in training and developing the Union’s cadres but also opened up opportunities for cooperation and development in the future, contributing to promoting gender equality and enhancing women’s empowerment in Vietnam.
