Attending the event were Assoc.Prof. Dr. TRAN Quang Tien – Party Secretary, President of Vietnam Women’s Academy (VWA) Dr. NGUYEN Hung Cuong – Head of Business Administration Department, and many representatives from faculties, departments, and institutes of the Academy. In addition, the event also had the presence of many successful businessmen such as Mr. NGUYEN Sinh Dung Thang – Chairman of VNIDA, Ms. NGUYEN Thi Quynh Nhu – CEO of Q&H CoachingVN Company, Mr. NGUYEN Xuan Ket – CEO of MMO Global Technology Company and many other guests.

The finale opened with special performances by students of VWA. The performances brought a joyful and vibrant atmosphere, creating a youthful and attractive atmosphere for the program.

Since 2015, VWA has coordinated with the University of Sydney, Australia to organize the Creative Business Ideas competition for female students. The conversation has become a communication activity, attracting the attention of a large number of students inside and outside the Academy. In particular, since 2018, the competition has been integrated into the Women’s Entrepreneurship Support Project, becoming one of the intellectual activities to promote the entrepreneurial spirit of women, especially female students. The competition not only helps young people practice business skills but also creates a dynamic learning environment, encouraging the spirit of thinking and doing.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the final round at the Academy level, Assoc.Prof. Dr. TRAN Quang Tien – President of VWA emphasized that Genesis 2024 is not only a competition but also an opportunity for students to learn and hone their entrepreneurial skills, hoping that they will continue to develop and perfect their ideas, turning their entrepreneurial dreams into reality. At the same time, President TRAN Quang Tien affirmed that with the dedicated support of experts, businesses, and teachers who have accompanied the competition after many years of organization, along with the enthusiastic participation of students, VWA will maintain and promote this playground to become a creative destination and incubator for the development of unique and feasible business ideas for students inside and outside the Academy.

Attending the final round, representatives of enterprises also expressed their support and willingness to invest in feasible business ideas. Mr. VU Hoang Nam – Deputy Director of PVComBank Dong Da Branch presented congratulatory flowers and affirmed the company’s support in nurturing young talents. This is a great motivation for students, encouraging them to confidently present and defend their ideas before the jury.

To help the teams complete their ideas, the competition received strong support from mentors. They are experienced experts and lecturers who have accompanied and guided the teams throughout the project development process. The organizing committee awarded certificates and thanked the mentors for their enthusiastic and dedicated contributions.

At the Genesis Finale 2024 of the Academy, the top six teams after the preliminary round presented their innovative business ideas. Each team had 10 minutes to present and 10 minutes to answer questions from the judging panel. This year’s ideas were highly appreciated for their practicality and creativity, including:

⭐ CNS – App Connect Students: A forum for connecting students, creating an environment for exchange, and sharing of knowledge and skills for students.

⭐ Continuous – Brago: Creative kit for children, helps develop thinking and storytelling ability through images.

⭐ Duong Tam An: Service providing nutritious meals suitable for medical conditions, helping to improve community health.

⭐ Inseparable Bonds: Application connecting shippers and carriers, optimizing freight transport.

⭐ Oh MindGuard: Mental health care application with the support of artificial intelligence.

Travel Map – Lien Hoa Backpacking Trip: An application providing travel information, connecting the backpacker community.

Contest teams present business ideas

The Jugde evaluates the teams’ entries based on 9 basic criteria: (1) The necessity of the product or service for market demand; Benefits of the product or service for customers, the community and society; Feasibility in production and business; (2) Financial capacity; Uniqueness, creativity, and different values ​​of the product or service compared to existing products on the market; (3) Guaranteed production and business plan; (4) Potential results of the project including: expected revenue, profit, break-even point, growth potential, social/environmental impact of the project; (5) Assessment of human resources, readiness to participate, organizational structure of the project’s personnel; (6) Key partners, capital mobilization solutions for project implementation; (7) Communication plan and solutions; (8) Minimum viable product to illustrate the idea; (9) Ability to present and present projects.

The Judges asked questions to the competing teams after listening to the presentations.

After this round, the 3 best ideas will win tickets to the National Finale to compete with teams from universities across the North, Central and South regions.
