This is part of a series of activities of the Elegant Student Contest 2024, organized by Vietnam Women’s Academy (VWA) in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Central Agencies. This year’s contest attracted the attention and participation of a large number of students from many universities and colleges across the country, becoming a playground combining beauty, talent and knowledge, to honor the comprehensive beauty of new-age students.

The community service activity was attended by Assoc.Prof. Dr. TRAN Quang Tien, Party Secretary, President of VWA as the Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest, MA. NGUYEN Thi Phuong, Deputy Head of Administrative Organization Department, President of VWA’s Labor Union, MA. BUI Gia Huan, Head of Student Affairs Department, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest, along with representatives of leaders of the Women’s Union of Bac Kan province, leaders of Xuan Lac commune – Cho Don district in the same province. In particular, the Top 40 semi-finalists also directly participated and actively contributed to volunteer activities and community support.

In Xuan Lac commune, Cho Don district, Bac Kan province, the delegation presented gifts to 10 families affected by the storm, helping people to stabilize their lives soon. In particular, the delegation presented necessities and the “Lighting up the Countryside” project, an important initiative in improving the living conditions of local people. This activity demonstrates the deep concern of VWA and its partners, including Royal Events Company Limited, for the communities in economically disadvantaged areas, especially those affected by natural disasters.

Continuing the trip to Bac Kan, the delegation moved to the Center for Social Protection and Social Work of Thai Nguyen province. Here, VWA donated a fund to support vulnerable groups in society, such as orphans, lonely elderly people and people with disabilities. These are practical contributions, helping people in difficult circumstances in the locality, while also creating opportunities for candidates to approach and understand the lives of those in need of care and attention.

This community service activity is a meaningful experience for the Top 40 Semi-finalists of the Elegant Student Contest. Through this activity, the contestants not only get to know the real life of people in disadvantaged areas but also have the opportunity to learn about the spirit of compassion, sharing and social responsibility. This will be a memorable experience, helping the contestants develop comprehensively in both personality and social thinking.

Community service activities of the Elegant Student Contest 2024 are a special highlight of this year’s contest. These activities not only help contestants develop themselves but also contribute to spreading good values ​​to the community.
