The delegation of Vietnam Women’s Academy (VWA) was led by Comrade NGUYEN Thi Phuong – President of the Academy’s Labor Union, along with representatives of Student Affairs Department and Youth Union. With the consent of the Party Committee, VWA’s Board of Management and the local authorities, the delegation quickly deployed timely support activities for families in Tan Minh commune. The presence of the delegation also received enthusiastic support from the Department of Industry & Trade of Hoa Binh province, leaders of Da Bac district and authorities of Tan Minh commune, contributing to creating favorable conditions for the delegation to visit and encourage the people.
During the trip, the community service team of VWA, on behalf of all cadres, employees and students of the Academy, presented many gifts (including 2 gifts, each worth 1 million VND) to 2 families who suffered minor damage. In addition, the working team also supported 7 gifts worth 2 million VND each to families who were severely affected when their houses were seriously eroded by landslides. Although the gifts were not large in material terms, they demonstrated VWA’s affection and sense of responsibility, contributing to helping people overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
In particular, the delegation directly visited the family of Mr. XA Van Xom – one of the families that suffered the most severe damage with their house completely collapsed and four relatives lost due to the landslide. In the face of this great loss, the delegation took the time to listen and encourage the spirit, expressing deep sympathy to the family. At the same time, VWA presented 5 million VND in support donated by the hearts of the collective of officials, workers and students of the Academy to help Mr. XA Van Xom’s family overcome some of the current losses and difficulties. This is a special support and also an action demonstrating the Academy’s humanitarian spirit and responsibility for the community.
This activity is part of VWA’s series of community support activities, with the desire to not only convey humanistic values to the people but also help spread the spirit of responsibility and love to the staff and students of the Academy. Through field trips, VWA aims to educate students on awareness and positive actions, helping them better understand the difficulties faced by people in remote areas, areas frequently affected by natural disasters.
Comrade NGUYEN Thi Phuong shared: “Faced with the losses and difficulties of the people of Tan Minh commune, VWA hopes to be a bridge to share, encourage and support the people to reduce difficulties, helping them have more determination to overcome this time. In the coming time, the Academy will continue to implement support activities to accompany the people in the process of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.”
With small but sentimental gifts, the VWA delegation has brought comfort and hope to the people of Hoa Binh province in this difficult time. This support activity is not only a practical action but also demonstrates the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, and community – one of the core goals that Academy always strives for.
The trip concluded with many emotions, from deep sympathy to determination to accompany people to overcome difficulties after the storm and flood. Through community service activities, VWA affirms its mission not only in education and training but also in actively contributing to the community towards a better future.
