The event was directed by the Vietnam Women’s Union and organized by the Vietnam Women’s Newspaper at Hoan Kiem Lake walking street to celebrate the 1985th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung uprising, the 115th anniversary of International Women’s Day (March 8, 1910 – March 8, 2025), the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU), and the 65th anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Academy’s (VWA) tradition day. The event aims to honor the beauty of traditional culture and spread the spirit of patriotism and national pride.

Attending the event were: Ms. NGUYEN Thi Tuyen, member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Women’s Union; the Vice Presidents of the Vietnam Women’s Union: Ms. NGUYEN Thi Minh Huong and Ms. NGUYEN Thi Thu Hien, and more than 1,000 delegates who are leaders of departments/units, union members of the Central VWU, women’s union members of the capital, cadres and students of VWU, as well as a large number of Hanoians and tourists.

For more than half a month, students of VWA have enthusiastically prepared and practiced for this meaningful Vietnam map puzzle.

In the brilliant red color of Ao Dai (the traditional costume of Vietnam), the image of female students and lecturers wearing costumes symbolizing the national flag created an emotional scene. Each step in the parade not only showed the grace of Vietnamese women but also conveyed a message of national pride and solidarity.In particular, the Vietnam map formation with the participation of hundreds of people became the most impressive highlight of the event. The flycam images capturing this meaningful moment will be broadcast on major television channels, helping to spread the message of love for one’s homeland and country to the masses.

The Ao Dai Parade Festival is not only an opportunity to honor the beauty of traditional costumes but also contributes to promoting the image of Hanoi – City for Peace. The event is also an activity in response to the National Strategy on Gender Equality for the period 2021 – 2030, affirming the role of women in preserving and promoting national cultural identity.The parade and the formation of the map of Vietnam attracted the attention of many people and tourists in the walking street area. The sparkling images, the bright colors of the flag and the proud smiles of female students and lecturers of VWA at the event contributed to demonstrating the strong vitality of Vietnamese culture in the modern flow.In order to bring these memorable moments closer to audiences nationwide, the program will be broadcast on national television channels with the following specific schedule:

  • VTV1 – Program “Vietnam Today”: Broadcast from 6:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on March 29, 2025, including program introduction, interviews, and images of flycams forming a map of Vietnam.
  • Hanoi Television (channel H1): Broadcast on the news program from 18:45 to 19:00.
  • VTV3 – Program “Morning Coffee”: Broadcast at 6:30 am on March 30, 2025.

The event contributes to spreading the pride of Vietnamese women in Vietnamese Ao Dai and Vietnamese Ao Dai is continuing on the journey to affirm its role and position in the social community, with Vietnamese women firmly entering a new era, the era of national growth.
