The Genesis Contest – Startup Ideas for Female Students 2024 is an intellectual playground organized to encourage female students to promote creative thinking, entrepreneurial spirit and innovation capacity in many fields. With three main competition categories including Business, Social and APP Usage, the competition has provided opportunities for teams to present, defend and convince the judges about the feasibility and potential of the projects.
Business Board: When commercial thinking meets creativity
In the Business category, the Bamboo Light project by the Bamboo Light team from Hoa Binh University won the First Prize. The product is not only aesthetically pleasing but also has sustainable applications in environmental protection, meeting the current green living trend.
Second prize went to Green Lamp team from Vietnam Aviation Academy with the idea of Artistic decorative lamps from eggshells, a creative solution in recycling natural materials. HEYCA team from East Asia University of Technology won Third prize with the service of providing regular gift boxes containing regional specialties, promising to promote tourism and local culture.
The three Consolation prizes in this board belong to these teams:
- Jasmeach (Peach with jasmine jam) – Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment.
- The Light (Planning travel company for The Light Travel) – Hanoi Metropolitan University.
- FOREVER (Developing tourism combined with organizing art events with the theme “Art Journey – Connecting Tourism”) – Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.
Social Board: Solutions for the community
The first prize in the Social category went to the StarEdu project – a learning material system for teaching escape skills to primary school students by the StarEdu team from Hanoi Metropolitan University. The project received high praise for its urgency and humanistic value for children’s education.
Second prize was awarded to Continuous team from Vietnam Women’s Academy with the project Brogo – Kits for drawing and creative set, providing educational products to stimulate children’s imagination. Saigon Gateway Tours team from Vietnam Aviation Academy won Third prize with the idea of City Tour by electric motorbike, actively contributing to the trend of sustainable tourism.
The Consolation Prizes go to:
- FAS (Fashion and scraps) – Hoa Binh University.
- FAGY (Solutions for glass waste collection and treatment) – University of Economics, Hue University.
APP Usage Board: Applying technology to life
First prize in the APP category belongs to the SNAPBACK project – Point accumulation and cashback application of the SNAPBACK team from Hung Vuong University, Ho Chi Minh City, helping consumers save costs effectively.
Second Prize was awarded to the HEALV project – Elderly care application by NOVA team from the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology, providing a convenient support solution in elderly health care.
Team Team ODAY from the Hanoi National Academy of Public Administration won third prize with an online marketplace platform connecting and promoting local specialties.
The Consolation Prizes belongs to:
- AuroraEdu (Application to support social skills development for children with ASD) – Hanoi Metropolitan University.
- Oh MindGuard (AI-Integrated Mental Health App) – Vietnam Women’s Academy
Most Favorite Award: Spreading meaningful educational ideas
The StarEdu team from Hanoi Metropolitan University was also voted the most popular team thanks to its highly practical educational project for primary school students.
Genesis 2024 is not only a competition but also a playground for female students to shine their talents, creativity and passion for entrepreneurship. The unique ideas presented at the competition show the great potential of the young generation in building sustainable socio-economic projects. Vietnam Women’s Academy, the host organization with the support of Project 939 – Supporting Women’s Entrepreneurship of the Central Committee of Vietnam Women’s Union, has once again affirmed its pioneering role in promoting the comprehensive development of female students, aiming for an equal, progressive and creative society.
