On October 17, 2024 – the occasion of the 94th anniversary of Vietnam Women’s Union’s foundation; the Vietnamese Women’s Day (October 20 annually) and the 12th anniversary of Vietnam Women’s Academy’s foundation, Vietnam Women’s Academy was honored to welcome Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to visit officials of Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU), as well as lecturers and students of Vietnam Women’s Academy (VWA).
This is a meaningful event, not only because of the presence of the head of the Government but also affirming the pioneering mission of VWA in training high-quality female human resources, as well as the core role in training on gender equality, social work, women’s work. This is an increasingly important contribution to improving gender equality and to the advancement of Vietnamese women.
According to the expected schedule, the Prime Minister will visit the traditional room and directly experience the Robot practice session with students majoring in Information Technology, as well as listen to the thoughts of lecturers, students of VWA and cadres of VWU…
Vietnam Women’s Academy (VWA) is a public higher education institution, established in 2012 under Decision No. 1558/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister. The Academy inherits more than 50-year tradition of the Central Women’s Cadre Training School, training tens of thousands of female cadres over many decades.
Currently, VWA continues to expand training in 11 bachelor’s programs in various majors, 4 master’s programs, and 2 doctoral programs. Like many other universities, VWA always focuses on comprehensive capacity building, creating opportunities for students to develop both expertise and soft skills, as well as the ability to adapt to the new era.
