The conference is not merely an academic event, but is expected to become a meeting point of intellect and action — a place where researchers, experts, lecturers, and international organizations come together to build new insights and creative solutions for a harmonious and sustainable Asia.
The discussion topics will range from gender equality policies and women’s participation in socio-economic development to the opportunities and challenges of the digital transformation era and international cooperation.

⭐ Main Themes of the Conference

The conference program is structured around the three main pillars of sustainable development — economic, social, and environmental — with women and gender issues serving as the central theme throughout. Each pillar not only highlights urgent challenges but also provides an opportunity to showcase the increasingly prominent and positive role of women across all areas of life.

In economic development, the papers may focus on women’s participation in the digital economy, green finance, entrepreneurship, innovation, digital transformation, and the circular economy — areas often considered new challenges, yet also promising arenas for women to demonstrate their capabilities.

In the social domain, the conference encourages research that analyzes women’s roles in poverty reduction, education, healthcare, political participation, income equality, and mental health care. In particular, new perspectives on women in science, STEM, and the preservation of cultural values will serve as significant contributions.

Regarding environmental development, the conference seeks research that reflects women’s roles in addressing climate change, protecting natural resources, waste collection and management, and promoting sustainable consumption — areas where women are increasingly playing proactive and innovative roles.

In particular, the conference is honored to welcome two keynote speakers — scholars with prestigious reputations and extensive research contributions in the region.

Professor Dr. Nguyễn Trọng Hoài, Professor of Economics and Vice President of the University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES), is a familiar figure in the academic community with in-depth research on economic development, green growth, smart cities, and international integration. He has led numerous national-level projects, published a series of valuable scientific and practical works, and has mentored and guided many generations of doctoral students. With his extensive experience, Professor Dr. Nguyễn Trọng Hoài will bring sharp perspectives to the conference, linking theory with practice and laying the foundation for in-depth discussions on gender equality and sustainable development.

Associate Professor Dr. Aslina Baharum, Associate Professor at Sunway University (Malaysia), is an international expert in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Human-Machine Interaction, and User Experience. She is also an active member of many global scientific associations such as IEEE and the Interaction Design Foundation, with interdisciplinary research spanning from digital education and e-commerce to smart healthcare. The appearance of Associate Professor Dr. Aslina Baharum promises to bring a fresh perspective — where technology, data, and creativity converge to open up breakthrough approaches to gender equality in the 4.0 era.

The combination of a leading economist from Vietnam and a respected technology expert in the region is a distinctive highlight, promising to bring depth and great impact to the conference. They are not only knowledge sharers but also “guides” who help connect scholars, spark opportunities for collaboration, and together find practical solutions for sustainable development.

The Organizing Committee has received 280 abstract submissions, and after peer review, 200 full papers from both domestic and international authors have been selected for contribution to the conference.

The conference is approaching, bringing with it expectations for an open, creative, and inspiring academic space. We invite our readers to follow the Vietnam Women’s Academy’s upcoming communications to stay updated with detailed information about this meaningful international event.
