The International Cooperation and Research Management Department has the function of advising the Board of Trustees and the Board of Management in managing and organizing the implementation of scientific tasks, digital transformation and international cooperation.

Main tasks include:

  1. International Cooperation
  1. Advising and proposing policies and strategies for international cooperation of VWA; Focal point for developing international cooperation plans, annual delegations and incoming delegations according to the regulations and direction of VWA’s President.
  2. Advising on the development and revision of regulations, workflows, and guiding documents on VWA’s international cooperation activities.
  3. Guiding on regulations and procedures; Supervising and inspecting international cooperation activities of units and individuals in VWA.
  4. Focal point for exploiting and coordinating the implementation of activities and projects with international resources to serve training, scientific research and organizational capacity building.
  5. Researching and learning about international organizations, training and scientific research facilities around the world to advise and implement cooperation programs; Organizing connections, exchanges, and maintaining regular contact with partners.
  6. Contact point for negotiating and signing working documents and international cooperation agreements between VWA and foreign partners; Organizing the implementation or supervising and urging the implementation of international cooperation agreements.
  7. Presiding and coordinating with units and individuals in building plans, implementing procedures, reception work to welcome inbound delegations and to send VWA Leaders as outbound delegations; guiding consular work and procedures for individuals/units to go on business trip or study abroad according to regulations and work processes;
  8. Focal point for developing and submitting for approval the Joint Training Projects involving foreign elements; Taking the lead in coordinating with other training units according to the Joint Projects which have been already approved.
  9. Participating in writing news, articles, and announcements related to international cooperation on VWA’s website (Vietnamese and English); focal point for creating introductory English documents and building VWA’s image.
  10. Organizing translation according to the plans and directions of VWA’s President and for VWA’s website; focal point for managing foreigners coming to work, study, and research at VWA’s according to its plans and agreements with international partners.
  11. Presiding and coordinating with units to carry out study-abroad consultation activities for officials, employees and learners.
  12. Synthesizing and reporting the results of international cooperation activities according to the regulations and requirements of the Central Vietnam Women’s Union and the direction of VWA’s Leaders; Forming an electronic database on international cooperation results.
  1. Science & Technology Management and Intellectual Property
  1. Advising and proposing orientation, regulations, work processes, long-term and short-term plans on science and technology of VWA.
  2. Advising and announcing annual science and technology orientation for officials and learners; Advising on resource allocation and assigning tasks to units and individuals in exploiting resources for science and technology for VWA.
  3. Standing section for the Research and Education Council, advising on activity plans, meetings and working content of the Council.
  4. Chairing the annual scientific conferences for students at the Academy level; Chairing and participating in national and international scientific conferences.
  5. Organizing registration, review, acceptance, and recognition of Academy-level scientific topics of officials, workers, and learners; Organizing reviews and acceptances of lectures, textbooks, and documents of units; Organizing appraisal and recognition of textbooks, monographs, and reference books for individuals at VWA.
  6. Providing guidance on scientific management skills, organizing training on science and technology for officials and workers; Inspecting, supervising and urging scientific councils, units and individuals to deploy and report results of scientific and technological tasks according to the plans and regulations of VWA.
  7. Focal point for synthesizing, checking and confirming standard scientific research hours, scientific products, and scientific work scores of full-time lecturers and part-time lecturers of VWA according to regulations.
  8. Synthesizing and reporting scientific and technological results according to regulations and directions of VWA’s Leaders.
  9. Presiding and coordinating with the Information Technology Institute to build and manage an electronic database of scientific and technological results to serve officials, learners and provide services outside VWA; Advising on the transfer and application of scientific research results.
  10. Deploying annual science and technology summaries and rewards; Advising on disciplinary actions in cases of violations in performing scientific research tasks.
  11. Developing regulations and support officials, workers, and learners in establishing and protecting intellectual property rights.
  1. Use and management of assets, documents and performance of other tasks
  1. Effectively using and managing the assigned assets according to current law and VWA’s regulations.
  2. Receiving, processing and storing documents on international cooperation, scientific management and intellectual property; Transferring, publishing, and archiving documents to the Library according to regulations.
  3. Participating in the assessment of relevant parties on science and technology and international cooperation according to VWA’s general plan.
  4. Perform other tasks assigned and directed by VWA’s President.
