YOUTH UNION

On May 25, 2023, the Delegate Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vietnam Women’s Academy (HCYU-VWA) for the 2024-2027 term elected 15 comrades, of which 07 are officials and 08 are students. The Standing Committee includes 05 comrades (01 Secretary; 02 Deputy Secretaries; 2 Standing Committee members who are lecturers, students, officials, and workers of VWA.
On June 10, 2024, the Youth Union of the Central Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) issued Decision No. 20/QD-CD approving the election results of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and other positions of HCYU-VWA, term 2024-2027.

FUNCTIONS & DUTIES:
Carrying out the important functions and duties of the Youth Union, under the close, direct and comprehensive leadership of the Party Committee, the Board of Management and the Superior HCYU, the HCYU-VWA always identifies its mission as the extended arm of the Party in actively caring for the legitimate rights and interests of Youth Union (YU) members, building an active learning environment, training and developing the personality and capacity of students, being a friendly bridge between students and the school, coordinating with other organizations in VWA to do a good job of youth work, contributing in building a powerful Party, thereby helping students cultivate revolutionary ethics, train political mettle, perfect their personality, and take the lead in activities to develop VWA, the community and the whole country.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:
– Activities of propaganda, political-ideological, ethical and lifestyle education for union members and young people: Political-ideological education is always given top priority by the HCYU-VWA. By closely following the guidelines, policies and laws of the Party and State, the training goals of VWA, and the Resolutions of the YUs at all levels, the HCYU-VWA always builds and organizes regular and continuous activities with many diverse and creative forms, suitable to the actual conditions and aspirations of the union members and the students.
– Youth volunteer activities: This is a proud part of VWA with many effective and enthusiastic activities on all roads of the Fatherland. With the aim of enhancing personal responsibility to the community and society, volunteer activities are organized annually over the years.
– Cultural, artistic and sports activities: Many creative models in the form of clubs and groups that have a wide influence on students have been maintained regularly and effectively by the YU. Along with that are extracurricular activities: badminton, volleyball, dance, guitar… which contribute significantly to improving physical strength, guiding young people towards a healthy lifestyle. Cultural and artistic activities, physical education and sports are always the pride and strength of the HCYU-VWA.
