LABOR UNION

The Labor Union (LU) was established at the Central Women Cadre Training School (predecessor of Vietnam Women’s Academy – VWA) in 1962. Inheriting more than 60 years of tradition, along with the development of VWA, the Labor Union of Vietnam Women’s Academy (LU-VWA) has grown in both quantity and quality of activities under the leadership of VWA’s Party Committee and the Labor Union of the Central Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU).

As of June 2024, LU-VWA has 205 union members, operating in 14 affiliated groups at 2 campuses in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Over the years, LU-VWA has performed well its functions and tasks: Propagating the Party’s and the State’s guidelines. laws, and policies; inspecting and supervising the implementation of regimes, laws and policies; ensuring the implementation of legitimate rights and interests for officials and employees of VWA. LU-VWA has created many annual and quarterly activities, always innovating and improving the quality of activities to improve material and spiritual life, encouraging and motivating officials and employees to be enthusiastic and dedicated to their work.

On March 16, 2023, the LU-VWA Executive Committee for the 2023-2028 term was elected by the LU-VWA Congress with 11 members, including 01 President, 01 Vice President, 01 Standing Committee Member, and 08 Executive Committee Members who are lecturers, officials and employees of VWA. at both the headquarters in Hanoi and the campus facility in Ho Chi Minh City.

On March 22, 2023, the Labor Union of the Central VWU issued Decision No. 71/QD-CD approving the election results of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and other positions of LU-VWA for the 2023-2028 term.
